Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, Ph.D.

Johanna is an accomplished author, yoga master and educator with extensive background in human resource development and public speaking. Her passion is sharing the yoga principles for greater peace, harmony and integrity through her new book Cultivate Contentment: Using Ancient Wisdom to Thrive in Today’s World.

Johanna served for twenty-five years as a high school English teacher, staff developer, and writing instructor. She earned a BA, MA, Professional Diploma in Administration, and PhD in Writing Research and Theory (NYU). Johanna holds certifications as a Kripalu Yoga Instructor and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, a 500-hour advanced diploma from the International Yoga College and two certificates from the Krishnamacharya Yoga School in India. She is former President of the Arizona Yoga Association and author of YogaLife: 10 Steps to Freedom book, CD set and cards.

In 1992, Johanna moved to Sedona, AZ, and started offering Sedona Spirit Yoga & Hiking Retreats, which were recently listed #1 of “Ten Inspirational Retreats” in Sunset Magazine. Johanna currently enjoys leading self-renewal retreats in Sedona and writing and living in Oceanside, CA.
